In an effort to provide more effective and curriculum-based speech/language services, OH Anderson is using a nationally recognized, research based model known as the 3:1 Speech/language Delivery Model. This model includes three weeks of direct intervention followed by one week of flexible support services. The flexible support services week will consist of services including, but not limited to student observations in the classroom, interventions in the classroom and other settings throughout the school-building, collaboration with teachers about curriculum content, screenings and increased communication with the parents. This model helps us support teachers in the classroom and support bridges between the special education goals and the classroom objectives. It also gives us a chance to see how students are realistically doing in the classroom compared to my small group setting. I am excited to continue implementing this model and feel it will improve your students success both in and out of the classroom. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. The following are the flexible support weeks: October 25-29, November 22-24, December 20-24, January 24-28, February 22-25, March 21-25, April 25-29, May 31-June 3.
ATTENTION: This model may look a little different this school year 2021-22, due to COVID19 and maintaining social distancing as well as management of classroom cohorts in the building.
