Students stay with their homeroom teacher for reading instruction. During your child's reading class, students receive specific instruction in the areas of fluency, comprehension, and many other reading specific skills. In third grade, students should read at least 15 minutes each day outside of school time. Your child will have a reading log to record their daily reading. It's important that your child has a book each day that they can enjoy and read independently.
