Should I Send My Child to School?
Many students and parents are concerned about when students should stay home or attend school. If you child is absent due to illness, please call the school attendance line. It is very helpful to us for tracking purposes to know the symptoms your child is experiencing. The following information is intended to help with this decision. If the student:
  • Has a fever of 100 degrees or more — The student should stay home for 24 hours after the temperature returns to normal.
  • Has vomited or had diarrhea — The student should stay home until 24 hours after the last episode.
  • Has any rash for which you do not know the cause — Check with your family physician/clinic before sending the student to school.
  • Has an illness — Keep the student at home and call the school daily to report the illness. If a child becomes ill at school, parents or the designated emergency First aid is provided to students with minor injuries. If the injury is serious, 911 will be called and parents will be notified.contact is notified

Our School
We believe in creating a safe and challenging learning community with the goal of bringing together social and academic learning throughout the day to foster and support engaged, caring, and responsible learners. Our dedicated teachers work with students to develop a growth mindset by providing learning opportunities that spark effort, curiosity, and engagement to fuel growth and achievement. Our school-wide Zephyr Time Celebrations, Morning Announcements, all-school River of Rocks art project, Fun Run, and Nature Trail Day are ways in which we build a strong sense of community. Whether it is programming robots, book clubs, math talks, cross-country skiing, or composing music, we are committed to providing an engaging and challenging education for all students.
