Winter Conferences

Welcome to O.H. Anderson Winter Conferences

Winter conference time for O.H. Anderson Elementary is fast approaching, and we wanted to share with you our plans for our winter conferences. Our Instructional Leadership Team reflected on the results from the family survey this Fall and we want to make improvements on how we can continue to partner with you in your child’s education and make conferences valuable to you.

Our goals at conferences are to:

  • Share strengths of the child both academically and social emotionally
  • Share goals or areas for growth both academically and social emotionally
  • Share your students work with you
  • Discuss plans to support your child both at school and home
  • Answer any other questions you may have

We will be holding conferences on the following dates:

  • Feb. 16, 2023- (4-8PM) In Person
  • Feb. 17, 2023- (8AM-4PM) In Person (Google Meets are available on Fri. Feb. 17 only  if families request it with the teachers, and schedules allow for this)
  • Feb. 23, 2023- (4-8PM) In Person

This is an opportunity for you to sign up with all teachers your child works with.  This may include:

  • Homeroom Teacher
  • Partner Teacher (if applicable)
  • Specialist Teachers (Phy-Ed, Music, Art, Media, Spanish)
  • Special Educators
  • Interventionists
  • Counselors and SEL Specialists

I am available to attend any conferences as well.  Just let the teacher know that you would like me to join you.

During these winter conferences, we want to invite all students to the conferences so they can share their perspective about school.  Our goal is to include more student voice during these conferences.  Families or teachers may request them to step out in the hallway for the last 5-10 minutes to have a private conversation with the teacher if needed.

All conferences need to be scheduled as it is difficult to accommodate drop ins.   We will be using our conference scheduling system PTCFast to facilitate appointments.
