This week, we welcomed 290 students to Summer Mahtomedi Adventure Club (MAC)! MAC is a school-age care program serving students in kindergarten through grade 5 during the school year and students who have completed kindergarten through grade 6 in the summer.
MAC strives to create positive friendships and memorable experiences through an exciting schedule of field trips, gym/outside time, and art and STEM activities. The program is supported by a passionate team of students, alumni, and childcare specialists who are experts in creating safe and enriching environments for our participants.
Students in Summer MAC are grouped by the grades they’ve completed–K-1, 2-4, and 5-6–with tailored schedules for each age group. On their first day, students spent time building connections with their classmates and staff, kicking off a summer of fun and collaboration! One of the highlights was choosing unique names for their classrooms, such as the American Eagles, Dragonflies, and Cobras!
