Wednesday, September 3, 2025, 8-4 pm - Family Connection/ Assessment Days/ Picture Days by appointment
You can sign up for a 30-minute appointment on September 2nd or 3rd for a time to connect one-on-one with your child’s homeroom teacher and for us to gather baseline assessment data. If your child has an IEP, please sign up for an additional 30-minute slot with your child's case manager to get to know them and to gather baseline data as well. Special Education case managers will connect with families at the end of August and assist you in setting up times. There is no need to sign up for Ms. Channon for speech. For your convenience, you can schedule your children at the same time, as you will not be required to be at the student assessment with your child. Here are the links to sign up .
The purpose of these family connection/ assessment days is to:
Build an individual connection with students, teachers, and family.
Maximize instruction. Teachers will complete assessments before the start of school so they will be able to begin instructing students in September.
Create a smooth transition into the school year with all questions answered.
This is what will happen during these days:
Here is the family survey that families will complete while the students are being assessed. Feel free to complete it at your convenience.
We understand that some families may be unable to attend assessment days. If your child cannot attend, we will complete their assessments during the first few weeks of school to ensure we gather this important information.
Free child care will be provided on our assessment days, which are Sept. 2 and Sept. 3rd from 8-4. Our OHA paraprofessionals will be supervising students. Students will need to bring their bag lunch for the day.
This is on a first-come, first-serve basis, and pre-registration will be required. Click here to register.
