Congratulations to Dustin Schulte, Mahtomedi Community Education wrestling coach, who was recently recognized by the Mahtomedi School Board for outstanding leadership at Mahtomedi Public Schools. The Mahtomedi School Board awards recognize the leadership and contributions staff members across our district are making to advance our strategic plan.
Mr. Schulte is a dedicated and passionate coach who has been integral in developing Mahtomedi Community Education’s youth wrestling programs. He leads our youth program for elementary-aged students and our popular middle school program, which is entering its fifth season. He also launched the Lil Ninjas program for children ages 18 months to 5 years old.
Mahtomedi Community Education Athletics and Facilities Coordinator Stephanie Groff gave the award presentation and shared several ways that Mr. Schulte is living the strategic plan. During her presentation, she shared how our wrestling programs have thrived and expanded under his hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm for the sport. Ms. Groff also shared this: “Dustin just loves seeing our students succeed. He focuses on positivity, giving specific feedback to help them grow…our families have amazing things to say about Dustin and his programs.”
